Nope, this is not a blog about Peter Pan, or indeed Star Trek(you geeks will get that reference)
In fact, it's a blog about charity, or more specifically, what I am going to do for charity. a few months ago, my friend Tracey McKee told me about a charity walk along the new section of the M74 motorway in Glasgow before it was opened to traffic and I thought that it would be a great idea. So I set up a Just Giving page and strapped on my new stylish yet affordable trainers and set off arm and arm with Miss McKee to walk 14.1 km. We struggled through wind and the occasional downpour and came in under 2 and a Half hours (2:26:20 to be exact), which us a personal best I can tell you. And all my fabulous friends helped me raise £160 for Cancer Research Uk, so kudos to you all.
And here comes the But,
But, it's not enough.
Not just the money, but the walking, cos I have got the bug, I need to do it more, and well I have. Walking too work, round work, home from work, you just can't stop me. My stylish yet affordable pedometer has me clocking up 16 km some days, and my stylish yet affordable trainers are taking a battering( shopping time yay).
So the walking has been great, it's helping me get fitter and shed a few pounds, and it's also been preparing me for my next big challenge.... The Shine Nightwalk. What is this? I hear you cry!!! Well it is a charity walk organised by Cancer Research UK where a big bunch of like minded idiots will attempt to walk a half marathon or a full marathon overnight in Glasgow. Not to do things by half of course I have opted in to do the full bloody thing, yes folks, this fat boy is gonna walk a marathon. Check the link below to find out more.

Here comes another But,
But to do this marathon, I am going to need help, and in help I mean sponsorship as I am aiming to raise £1000 for Cancer Research UK, so if you can spare a couple of pounds then it would be greatly appreciated, if you can give more then all the better as ever penny will go to the help the fight. And if you pass on my details to friends, families and colleagues it will help raise even more pennies, just click the link below, and to you all, thank you.
